07/15/02 Hydra-RIB® Expands Product Offering for 2003 Hydra-RIB, a manufacturer of institutional basketball systems since 1961, has expanded its product offering for 2003. In addition to its core line of portable, in-ground and wall-mounted basketball systems, the company is introducing three new products, specifically designed for gymnasiums within schools, recreational centers, athletic clubs and small arenas. Ceiling-Mount Backstop To address the growing need for flexibility within today's gymnasiums, Hydra-RIB is introducing a complete line of ceiling-mount backstops, all of which can be configured to work in any type of recreational or competitive environment. Prior to installation, all ceiling-mount backstops are computer designed to ensure a perfect fit based on a customer's unique demands. Hydra-RIB offers a variety of ceiling-mount options, including eight different configurations as well as stanchions that are stationary or have fold-up, fold-down capabilities. Hydra-RIB's ceiling-mount backstops are unique because they use a patent-pending "Triple Clamp" design, which provides twice the holding power for added stability and safety. All ceiling-mount backstops are available with an optional electric winch, which allows for fast and easy backboard adjustment. Hydra-RIB also offers professional installation. Volleyball System Hydra-RIB is expanding beyond its core line of basketball products to offer a competition-quality volleyball net system. The volleyball system is manufactured from high strength aluminum, which requires no maintenance and is lightweight for easy set up and take down. The volleyball net comes with a unique winch system, which utilizes a nylon strap instead of cables, resulting in tangle-free set up. The volleyball system is offered in a variety of colors and is available with a judge's stand that easily integrates with the rest of the unit. Gym Divider Curtain Today's modern gym must accommodate multiple activities at any given time. As a result, the need for flexible divider curtains is more important than ever. Hydra-RIB now offers durable divider curtains, available with either a "fold-up" or "roll-up" option. All curtains can be manually operated or ordered with an electrical system that allows for easy movement with the push of a button. Hydra-RIB is also offering an extensive line of wall padding.
