Model HR1125 Specification Profile HR1125 10'-8" SUPPORT POST & EXTENSION BOOM & BASE CONSTRUCTION: Units will be constructed with extra heavy duty steel throughout with dual 2" x 6" x 1/4" vertical and 4" x 6" x 1/4" horizontal square tube main support members. Backboard will be held rigid at bottom by connecting to leveling adjustment assembly attached to 4" x 4" x 1/4" square tube yoke. Top corners of board are to be stabilized by 2" square tube braces. The "A" frame construction will be 3" x 2" x 1/4" square tube for greater stability. Base is constructed from 12" by 30 lbs channel. PORTABILITY / CASTERS: The backstops will be mounted on six casters so installed as to make movement possible by one person over a level floor when unit is in the full down (or storage) position. They are 6" in diameter and 2" wide wheels, front (2) and dual wheels (4) in rear. The rolling surface will be of hard polyurethane composition with non-mar qualities for floor protection. Casters will each be rated for at least 900 lbs each and be of ball bearing construction (each with its own grease fitting). Provision will be made for proper leveling of any or all casters by local maintenance personnel. The caster system will be integrated with the self-contained power-driven hydraulic system and be power operated. HYDRAULICS & ELECTRICAL FOLDING AND SET-UP: Each backstop unit will come with motor, hydraulic pump and a one gallon fluid reservoir built as one unit to operate as one unit. The motor will be 1 horsepower (or more) operation at 115-230V, 60 cycles, 1725 R.P.M. As a deterrent to unauthorized use, a special electrical connector cord will be provided using a special "Twist-Lock" type plug and socket, (as a Hubbell No. 4716-4729C). The connector cable size and grade will be at least No. SO 16-3. In addition each unit will come with a key lock for the control panel cover. Each unit will have a limit switch circuit with proper adjustments to enable unit to stop at 10 foot rim height automatically. Each cylinder single acting with 2,000 p.s.i. (oil) to operate the up-down action of the backboard. MAJOR PIVOT POINTS: For maximum life and smooth operations all major pivot locations rotate on high load bearings. All major pivot points are backed up by a secondary system to prevent collapse of the support structure in the unlikely event that a bearing fails during operations. BASE AND POST PADDING: This portable backstop is equipped standard with 3" foam padding mounted on 9/16" wafer board covered with a 12oz vinyl laminate. Slide pads use 2" foam as standard. Padding covers the entire metal surface of base and up the "A" frame. Padding will also cover the vertical tube member for maximum player protection should bodily contact occur with the unit. Padding extends down to the floor during play and rises to 3" above the floor for transport over unleveled surfaces. Custom colors and Advertisement Pads are available. REAR ANCHOR SYSTEM: Each unit is equipped with two floor anchor systems (located in the rear section of the base) which will conform to the requirements as stipulated in the latest NCAA Rule 1, Court and Equipment, BR 22, Section 11, which states "Portable backboards shall be secured to the floor". SHOT CLOCK SUPPORT: An independent shot clock support post is provided to match the requirements of new or existing shot clocks. It is mounted just behind the backboard as per NCAA and NBA regulations. The lifting capacity is in excess of 300 lbs standard and 800 lbs optional. INTERNAL WIRING: The shot clock and other electrical requirements are wired internally to facilitate the sleek clean appearance of the support system.
