When installing my in-ground system, do I have to use the amount of concrete specified in the instruction sheet? Yes, the instruction sheet notes the minimum amount of concrete required to cover installation. The pole assembly is attached to J-Bolts, and the J-Bolts anchor the Hydra-RIB® basketball system into the concrete. How far from the playing surface should I install my in-ground system? For proper play with an in-ground system, the front edge of the hole to the playing surface should measure 6".
